About major depression: Depression is circumstances of mind. According to experts, depression is marked with a continual unfortunate and/or irritable mood that exceeding normal sadness or grief. This mood inhibits a person’s normal physical and social functions. Depression might be short-term or chronic, depending on the cause, and requires treatment. Causes: Depression has no single cause; often, it results from a mixture of things.
You may have no idea why melancholy has struck you. 1. Genealogy: Depression will run in families. 2. Trauma and stress: Financial difficulty, bad human relationships, or a death in the family can bring on a depressive disorder. 3. Health issues: Terminal or other ailments such as cancer tumor and AIDS can make people depressed.
Whatever the reason, melancholy is a total consequence of physical changes in the brain. These changes are due to imbalances in chemicals called neurotransmitters. A balanced, nutritious diet: Balanced meals abundant with multi-vitamins (especially Vitamin B-complex) and high fiber are best for fighting depression. Include nuts such as walnuts and almonds in what you eat. Starting your entire day with a tall glass of fresh pulpy orange juice will set you off to a good start.

Avoid coffee, sugar, and alcohol. Apples are best for overcoming depression also, when used with just a little honey and dairy especially. Home-made infusions: Prepare an infusion by boiling ¼ teaspoon of holy basil/Indian basil and ½ teaspoon of sage per cup of tea. Twice a day Drink this infusion. Alternatively, you can powder the seeds of one or two green cardamoms and add to a cup of boiling water with just a little sugar. Drink this concoction twice each day.
Exercise: Make some sort of physical activity an integral part of your routine. Physical exercise allows all the nice hormones within you to activate. A good way to start your day is with a walk or a run in the park. Alternatively, you could do yoga or Pilates, both which relax the body and mind at the same time.
Rest: Get sufficient rest. If you have trouble falling asleep, drink chamomile tea at bedtime. It’s an excellent relaxant. You could also use a lavender pillow during the night. Lavender is well known because of its calming properties. Alternatively, you could burn lavender incense at bedtime. Happy company: Look for happy people. Grow some flowers, pursue a hobby, or simply read a good publication. Not considering your troubles will often away make sure they are gone!
